Use the same thread in the bobbin as what you have on top. I usually
spray starch and iron the fabric to give it stability. I also use
a ruler and a rotary cutter to get a nice straight edge.
If you have a very fine fabric, use a 70 or 75 needle.
Attach the C foot and press the preprogrammed satin stitch. Any
one of them is okay because we are changing some settings. Change
the stitch length to .4 and the stitch width to 5 . Change the
tension anywhere from 5.6 to 6.0.
Lay the fabric under the foot with the right side down and the
right edge of the fabric lays under the groove on the right side
of the foot. You should be able to see that the right swing of
the needle will go off the fabric, so the material should not be
completely
covering the hole in the foot.
Now, hold both thread tails and start sewing. The right swing
of the needle and the groove in the foot forces the fabric to roll.
Make sure you keep the fabric in that groove.
Stitch off the end of the fabric.
Then do exactly the same thing on the next edge. The corners should
come out just fine, but make sure you practice first.
