Now I want you to understand how to use your measuring tape to
figure out MMs. NOT M & Ms. LOL
Look at the tape and you know that ours are done in inches. But, each inch
is divided up by 16 lines.
1/8" (2 lines from the beginning of the inch mark)
1/4" (4 lines from the beginning of the inch mark)
1/2" (8 lines from the beginning of the inch mark)
3/4" (12 lines from the beginning of the inch mark)
Now, turn the tape to the other side and you will see "inches on the top" and
on the bottom you will see "MM and cms.
These measurements have 10 little lines in-between each number but a slightly
longer line in the middle represents 5 lines. Each number represents 10mm.
If you look at our 2" marking and look below, you will see the #5. So,
5 times 10=50mm.

Our 3" marking shows a 7 and 6 little lines after it. So, 7 x 10 +70 plus
7 lines = 76 mm.
Just remember that each little number represents 10. 9" would be 1/4th
yd. For us. But, in mm, you will see that it’s about 230mm. 23 X 10.
