Hooping
very thin or slippery fabric.
When I hoop these kinds of fabric, I like to make frame that will fit under the
top hoop and on top of the fabric to make it more stable in the hoop.
I usually make the frames out of fusible fleece, not
because I want to iron the fusible side, but because it has a rough
side that holds well when
hooping.
I think the pictures will tell the story. I use pins to mark the area on the
inside and outside of the hoop.

Then I cut out the frame along the pins removing the center piece of fleece.

I lay the frame on top of the fabric and press the inner hoop and frame and fabric
into the outer hoop.
