Free Motion V Menu Designer One

If you want to do free motion stippling or quilting, use the V Menu. Feed dogs down.

The 1st stitch is the straight stitch.

The 2nd stitch is a zig zag stitch.

The 3rd stitch is a straight stitching locking stitch for tying the layers
together.

The 4th stitch is a side motion type of stitch you can use for tie stitches.

You can use the "open toe stippling foot, the free motion foot or the Q foot" (if you use the "set menu" to choose that foot. See the Q foot file in the "tips".

Hold onto the top thread and turn the hand wheel towards you so the needle will pick up the bobbin thread. Pull the thread up and hold both threads together and sew a few stitches in place and then cut the excess thread tails.

Sew fast but move the fabric slowly up and down in a sort of waving motion.
