Omnigrams Done in the Hoop (Designer1)

First, I recommend that use a scrap piece of fabric to stitch out a line of the design you want to see how the size suits you alongside the other designs. Don't use the hoop to do this, this will just be samples. Just let it stitch out about 3 of the designs together.

Write "normal size" next to this line of stitching.

Then, use "adjust" to change the stitch length and the stitch width proportionately up or down depending on how big or small you want the design to see what size appeals to you the most. After each line of stitching, write down the changes you made.

You can even change just the stitch length and not the width and see how that looks. Then try just the stitch width changed and see how that looks. Be sure to write down the changes you made next to each line.

If you are only using one design and you just want a string of them, you don't even need to program it.

You would use "program" if you wanted to have several designs combined together like a leaf and a flower or even a leaf normal and then the same leaf mirrored. In that case, you would program those stitches and make adjustments to them and then touch "repeat." From then on follow the same instructions as what I am giving you as follows:

Okay, now you know the size you think looks best. If it is only one design and no programming involved, do this:

When doing several rows of designs and wanting to have them mirror each other, I would definitely draw a horizontal line at the beginning of the rows so that you make sure you position that needle exactly the same each time so each design is exactly across from each other. Then draw the vertical lines on the fabric with a water soluble pen where you want them to be making sure that you allow enough space for the width of the stitching.

Then hoop stabilizer and place a ruler over the top of the hoop and draw vertical and horizontal lines with a pencil right on the stabilizer connecting the end markings and the side markings on the hoop. This will make a big + on the stabilizer. Spray the stabilizer with embroidery spray adhesive.

Very carefully, place the fabric on the stabilizer so that one of the drawn lines is laying perfectly straight on the top of the line drawn on the stabilizer. Make sure that you have the beginning of each line within the hooped stabilizer so the machine can start right at the beginning of the line. You may have to scoot it down a bit from the hoop.

Once those lines are matched up, smooth the fabric out on the stabilizer so it will stick to it. Attach the hoop to the machine.

If it is just one design that you just want repeated over and over, just find the menu and the stitch. Touch "adjust" make changes to the "stitch length and stitch width) if needed and then touch the "E" one time to rotate the stitching and touch OK.

On the right side of the screen, you will see arrows. Touch one of the "Side arrows" and keep touching it until the needle area moves over to exactly on one of those lines. Use your hand wheel to make the needle almost touch the fabric so you can see when it lands directly on that line.

Once you get it on one of the lines, then use one of the "up arrows" to move clear to the top of that line. Then touch "start" and the machine will sew a straight line of that stitching. It will sew clear to the bottom close to the hoop and automatically stop.

If you want it to stop before that, touch the "fix" if you want it to stop immediately or touch the "stop" if you want it to finish at the end of one of the designs.

Unfortunately, we can't use the "restart" button to go back to the beginning of the stitching sequence.

To do the second line of stitching, you need to bring up that design again and follow the directions the same way as you did before to stitch the second line of stitching. You simply move the needle to the next line the same way and touch "start" to sew it.

Just remember that if you want the second line to mirror the first line, you must use the "adjust" to touch the "mirror" button when necessary to mirror the design on the previous line.
