Tips & Techniques

Converting a disk of designs or folder of designs from one thread to another and converting to vp3 at the same time.

If you have a category of designs that show they use Sulky colors and you want them to convert them to Robison Anton Rayon 40 colors, we can do all of them at one time.

Open 3D Organizer and click on the + in front of the “C drive” and the + in front of the “My Designs” folders and find the folder that contains these designs.

Click on that folder and all the designs will show on the right side of the screen.

If you click on one of the designs, the worksheet on the left side will show the thread manufacturer and colors used. (I didn't do that in this picture).

Hold down the “Control key and the A” key to highlight all of them.

Click on “file, convert thread range”. A box will appear.

If you want the new files to be in that same folder, then use the “browse buttons” to find the folder with those designs in them and click on that for the “output folder” window.

The window below is the thread manufacturer window. Use the arrow to select the thread you want to change to for your designs. Click OK.

The designs are still highlighted, so let’s delete these old ones.

Click on the red X on the toolbar. Then click on “view, refresh” and the new vp3 files in the new thread colors will show up.

Let’s click on a design and take a look at the new worksheet.

You see that they are now converted to vp3 format and the color worksheet for the highlighted design now reflects Robison Anton rayon colors.
