Fix/Baste problem

Many people have trouble with their bobbin thread not catching when they do a fix/baste.

I find that if I place my finger on the top thread and touch the “Fix” and then use my foot pedal, it seems to pick up the bobbin thread better than if I used the “start/stop” button. ***********************************

Whenever I finish a design, I automatically remove the bobbin and reinsert it again and that helps. *******************************************************

Whatever I am stitching I always hand turn the hand wheel one time and draw the bobbin thread to the surface. If I am doing a fix, I advance to the first stitch of the FIX then pull the bobbin thread up and I’m on my way. I used to do it with only free standing lace but now I do it with what ever I am stitching.
