Designer 1 Fonts Disks
If you want to use the fonts disks that came with
the D1 within your 3D Embroidery program with each letter as a
design in set sizes, you can do that. (You cannot put them in the “system
fonts” that work in the “letter tab” of your program.)
The first thing we want to do is set up some folders
to hold these files.
Open the "explorer" and scroll down to
the 3D Embroidery folder and click on the "+" to
open the folder.
Click on the "+ in front of "My Designs" to
open that folder. We want to create a sub folder under this main
folder. (You may not have your main design folder under the 3D
Embroidery. Maybe you put yours under the C Drive.)
Click on the "my designs" folder. On the
right side of the screen, right click in an open space and a drop
down menu will appear.
Click on "new and then folder" and these
words will be highlighted at the very end on the right side of
the explorer.
Lets call this main folder "D1 Fonts".
So type this right over the highlighted words and touch the "enter" key
on the keyboard to register that folder.
Now, you will see this new folder listed under “My
designs” on the left side under "My designs".
Now we want to make some sub folders under the D1
Fonts because we want them categorized in styles of fonts.
So, click on the D1 Fonts folder. “Right click” in
an open space on the right side and click on "new and folder" and
this time type "Palace Fonts" and touch the enter key
on the keyboard.
We need some more sub folders because these fonts
come in 3 sizes. Size 30, size 20 and size 12.
30 caps menu 1
30 sl menu 2 (small letters)
30 #s menu 3
20 caps menu 5
20 sl menu 6
20 #s menu 7
12 caps menu 9
12sl menu 10
12#s menu 11
Click on the "Palace Fonts" folder and
right click on the right side in an open space and click on "new
and folder" and type "30 Caps".
Click on the "Palace Fonts" folder again
and right click on the right side and make a folder called "30sl
(small letters)".
Click on the "Palace Fonts" folder again
and make a new folder called "30 #s.
Click on the "Palace fonts folder and make a
folder called "20 Caps" and then
one called "20sl"
one called "20#s".
Then make some called 12 caps, 12sl, 12#s.
Okay, now the folders are ready.
Open your "Disk Manager" and insert the
Palace disk.
Click on "open" and a window will pop up.
Click on the folder with the "up arrow" until you see
the A drive.
Double click on the A drive and then double click
on Menu 1 so it will show the "look in" window..
Click on the first file and then touch the "control
and A key" to highlight all of them.
Click on "open". Click on the "multi
save" icon and click on those 3 dots (browse buttons) and
find the first file called 30caps and click on "save".
Click on "new" to clear the screen and
then click on "open" the window will open and click on
the "up arrow" and this time click on Menu 2 and open.
Highlight all of those files and click on "open" so
they will appear on the Disk Manager screen.
Then click on "multi save" and find the
file called 30sl and click on "save".
Then when you finish with the first disk, do the
next one the same way.
