Import thread range in 3D Configure
Printable
version
Here's what I discovered. First, I have never purchased Isafil
thread or purchased designs that showed Isafil threads. So, I decided
to enter that as my import thread in 3D Configure so it would stand
out for me so I could figure this out.
When I opened my 3D Embroidery and clicked on any HUS format or
a PES or XXX design, it brought up Isafil colors.
If I chose a VIP or VP3, it might show Sulky or Robinson Anton
or Madeira or Marathon, etc. That's because that is the thread
the digitizer used when creating the design and because it was
saved as a VIP or VP3 format, our program remembers those thread
and colors.
But if saved in any other format such as HUS, PES, XXX, that format's
threads and colors are NOT recognized by our program, so it automatically
chooses whichever thread we entered the the "import thread
range" in 3D Configure.
If I clicked on the "letter or shapes" tabs, and either
typed a word or chose a shape, the colors reflected are Robison
Anton.
Viking chose Robison Anton as the default thread for the letters
and shapes and no matter what thread you put in the "import
thread range", the Robison Anton will still appear. In effect,
it's like it was saved as a VIP or VP3 format.
We can always change the color to any thread we want.
If you have a set of designs created with Madeira colors and you
want them in Robison Anton or Sulky, etc. then use the 3D Organizer
and “file, convert thread range” to change them in
batch to the thread of your choice.
Directions for this are under my “tips, 3D Organizer, #3
or #1” if you also need to batch unzip.
