BABY BUNTING/BLANKET

When I purchased my Viking 1+, it included a brochure
with directions for a wonderful little bunting/blanket. I have made
this many times through the years for gifts and everyone that received
it loved it.
I recently made another one for my grandchildren's
hope chest and wanted to post it to my website, but I just knew
I would have requests for the instructions. I changed the original
instructions by adding decorated piping and using the decorative
buttonholes from Customizing's Shapes.

But, the original instructions weren't mine, so I
asked Viking if they would please put the instructions on their
website for all to enjoy. I am happy to announce that Sue Hausmann
has contacted me.
"Regarding
your request for the Kite Tail Bunting pattern, thank you for the
request. This has continued to be a very popular project through
the years. The idea came originally from a Husqvarna Viking store
owner and wonderful teacher from California, Linda Brush. We had
it in Art of Sewing Book 3 (long ago out of print) and in the brochure
you received.
We will post the new and
updated instructions including a buttonhole for the safety belt
and a 'doll size' version for the 'big' sister or brother's doll
when the new baby comes on the America Sews website. Look for it
after September 1 or at the latest after October 1 at www.americasews.com
I love your idea of sewing
the decorative buttonholes from Customizing!
Thank you again for contacting
us.
Happy Sewing!!
Sue Hausmann"
